1 Place Ville Marie

Prestigious building

Designed by I.M. Pei and Henry N. Cobb, 1 Place Ville Marie is a true architectural masterpiece, with its signature cross-shaped tower, the tallest of its kind in Canada. Place Ville Marie has graced the Montreal skyline for over 50 years and become one of the city’s most recognized landmarks.

Featuring a sophisticated design and modern amenities in line with the needs of today’s efficiency-minded and performance-driven organizations, 1 Place Ville Marie is a major hub in Montreal’s central business district. As one of the founding pillars of the vast “underground city,” Place Ville Marie is only steps away from two metro stations, two commuter train lines and a bus terminus. Its dynamic business and retail environment combines prestige, comfort and convenience.

A spectacular view of the city

Place Ville Marie boasts an exceptional location in the heart of downtown Montreal. Its distinctive architecture makes it a sought-after business address, with twice as much corner office space as other skyscrapers, an optimal amount of natural light and incomparable views of the city, the St. Lawrence River and Mount Royal.

    A floor plan
    that maximizes space

The unusual cruciform shape of 1 Place Ville Marie was chosen to maximize the penetration of natural light throughout the building. The unrivalled amount of space per floor (36,000 square feet) and its unique layout, featuring four rectangles that come together in the centre like spokes around the hub of the elevators, enables tenants to occupy a smaller number of floors and make optimal use of their allotted space.
