Global Best Projects Award 2020: The PVM Glass Pavilion awarded!

The PVM Glass Pavilion, an architectural feat, but above all one of the most important glass structures in North America, won the Specialty award at the Global Project Awards. This title rewards the teams behind the most exceptional designs and constructions of the year.

The PVM Glass Pavilion, an architectural feat, but above all one of the most important glass structures in North America, won the Specialty award at the Global Project Awards. This title rewards the teams behind the most exceptional designs and constructions of the year.

  • The structure of the glass pavilion consists of 18 glass beams, measuring 15 meters long (± 50 feet) by 0.9 meters high (± 3 feet).
  • The beams are covered with 15 glass panels, 15 meters long (±50 feet) by 2.5 meters wide (± 8 feet).
  • Two cantilevered glass beams, one of which is ±4,5 meters long (15 feet), allow the extension of the roof to the south entrance of the pavilion.
  • In all, it's 60 pieces,190 tons (418 878 pounds).

Since the Cathcart opened in PVM last January, customers have been able to enjoy a unique view of Mount Royal thanks to the remarkable transparency of the high-quality glass of the PVM Glass Pavilion.
