Exposition Lili Reynaud-Dewar au MAC

From May 16 to September 17, 2023, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal (MAC) presents a unique exhibition!

Bringing together sculpture, performance and video, Lili Reynaud-Dewar's exhibition I Want All of the Above to Be the Sun is an incursion into the major currents of this internationally renowned artist's recent practice. This first solo exhibition in Quebec for the French artist was specifically designed to be displayed in the MAC space at Place Ville Marie.

I Want All of the Above to Be the Sun is an exhibition that brings together for the first time more than thirty videos produced by the artist over the years in which she dances, body-painted, in empty museum spaces, exhibition centers and artist residencies that have invited her, as well as a series of self-portraits in polished aluminum, recently begun, to form a dialogue between works or repetitions of the same gestures performed in different mediums and contexts.

About the artist

For nearly 20 years, Lili Reynaud-Dewar has been creating environments and situations in which she stages her own body, as well as that of others, to evoke the vulnerability and empowerment associated with acts of public advocacy.

About the MAC

All exhibits are free for children, and the regular fee is only $10 per adult, making it an affordable outing for families and groups.
