From February 27 to March 29, 2026, come skate in the heart of downtown on a skating rink open to everyone.
A new urban experience where sport, fun, and Montreal energy come together.
Access to the Skating Rink
Access to the skating rink is free. Users may bring your own skates. Equipment will also be available for rent for a fee. For more information, head to Chalet 1664 at Esplanade PVM.
Opening Hours*
Monday to Friday: 11:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday: 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Chalet 1664: Your relaxation lounge between skating sessions!
Chalet 1664 is your warm and cozy lounge, perfect for enjoying a hot drink between skating sessions or while waiting for loved ones on the ice.

Soirées à -20: your winter ritual!
DISCO & FRISSONS NIGHTS
Slip on your sparkles, lace up your skates, and get ready to dance… even when it’s -20!
To kick off the first week of the Soirées à -20, the Patinoire sous l’Anneau transforms into a frosty disco dance floor. Whether you’re coming to dance, skate, or simply soak in the most festive winter vibe in the heart of Montréal, Disco & Frissons promises two electrifying nights where the cold doesn’t stand a chance against the groove.

DIVAS GIVRÉES NIGHTS
Get your best Y2K look ready and come shine on the ice!
For the second week of the Soirées à -20, the Patinoire sous l’Anneau welcomes DIVAS GIVRÉES: a celebration of the biggest hits of the 2000s while you skate to the rhythm of pop.
📅 March 12 & 14, from 5 p.m.
BREAK THE ICE NIGHT & BAGAY NORDIQUE NIGHT
When winter hits hard, hip-hop hits back even harder!
For one night only, the Patinoire sous l’Anneau turns into a frosty urban hotspot, where hip-hop shakes up the ice and heats up the vibe while you make the most of the evening.
The Soirée à –20: Bagay Nordique is presented by Jeux Urbains in collaboration with KANK
📅 March 19 & 21, from 5 p.m.
HOUSE POLAIRE NIGHTS
To wrap up the Soirées à -20, the Patinoire sous l’Anneau transforms one last time for two final high‑energy nights. The rink becomes a polar dance floor pulsing to the rhythm of house music—hypnotic sounds, an electro atmosphere, and lights that make you forget the cold. This night presented in collaboration with Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth.

Safety Rules
- Children aged 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
- It is mandatory to listen to and follow the instructions of the rink staff.
- Skate safely and responsibly, and behave courteously and respectfully toward other users.
- Use the designated areas to rest, put on your skates, or store your personal belongings.
- During periods of high attendance, it is recommended to limit skating time to about 1 hour and 30 minutes to allow access for everyone.
PROHIBITIONS
- Walking on the tiles with unprotected blades.
- Accessing the rink without wearing skates.
- Eating, drinking, or smoking on the ice or on the players’ bench.
- Using an electronic device on the ice (cell phone, headphones, etc.).
- Skating with a pet.
- Skating while carrying a person or an object (on your back, in your arms, in your hand) or using a sled or a stroller.
- Skating at excessive speed, skating backward, stopping abruptly, or lingering near the boards.
- Pushing, chasing, or engaging in any activity that may compromise the safety of others.
IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY
- Report any incident, issue, or accident to the attendant, or call 911 to contact emergency services. First aid kits are available on-site.
SANCTIONS
- Anyone who does not comply with the above rules may be denied access to the rink or expelled by the attendant, with or without prior warning depending on the severity of the infraction.
IMAGE RIGHTS
- Anyone entering the rink may be photographed or filmed. These images may be used for communication and promotional purposes for the rink, unless a refusal is expressed to the management.
