3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
There are two ways to participate in the Contest: by presenting a receipt for purchases made at participating stores, or without making any purchase.
Participation with Purchase:
- To register their participation, entrants must present themselves with their receipt(s) at the Galerie PVM customer service kiosk during the contest period and correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question. An agent will register the participant in the contest via a form.
- Receipts must be issued by retailers located in Galerie PVM or restaurants of Campus PVM.
- The submitted receipts must total a minimum of $100 before taxes.
- Eligible receipts must be dated between February 2 and February 8, 2026, inclusively.
- One entry will be recorded in the Contest for every $100 spent before taxes.
- An additional entry will be granted for each additional $100 increment.
- Participants may combine up to three (3) receipts to reach the $100 minimum before taxes.
- There is no maximum number of entries per day.
- For each submitted receipt, the customer service kiosk agent will mark the receipt to confirm it has been used for the Contest.
- The same receipts cannot be submitted more than once to participate in the Contest.
Please note that purchases from the following services or retailers are excluded from the contest:
- Canada Post
- FedEx
- Gift cards
- Indigo parking
- Lottery tickets (Loto‑Québec)
- Medications
- Nautilus Plus
- Prepaid cards
- Public transit passes
- Services reimbursable by insurance (eye exams, dental care, etc.)
Participation without Purchase:
A no‑purchase entry option is available for the Contest by following the steps below:
- A person may choose to enter the contest without making any purchase by subscribing to PVM’s Instagram page (@placevillemarie). To do so, they must present themselves at the Galerie PVM customer service kiosk to confirm their subscription. No purchase is required in this case.
- The participant must have a valid email address, a phone number, and a residential address to enter the contest. Only one (1) email address may be used by any person to participate in the Contest.
- Only one (1) no‑purchase entry per person will be accepted for the entire duration of the contest. If a participant enters more than once, additional entries will be cancelled.
- When claiming the prize, the winner must verify that they are still subscribed to PVM’s Instagram page.
4. PRIZE
There is one (1) grand prize available to be won by random draw, consisting of a Galerie PVM gift card valued at CAD $250, redeemable at participating restaurants in Campus PVM. The prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, refundable, intended for resale, or redeemable for cash. No substitutions are permitted.
5. PRIZES ATTRIBUTION
- The random draw for one (1) grand prize will take place on Monday, February 9, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m. (ET) in or around Montréal, Québec. This draw will be conducted by the organization responsible for the contest from among all eligible entries received before the contest closing date. For the draw, several entries will be selected as backups in the event that the first selected entry is deemed invalid. Once a participant is selected, and before any further communication, all elements of the entry will be verified to confirm the validity of the receipt and the entry, and to ensure the participant has fully complied with the official rules. If the receipt(s) or any other element related to the entry is deemed invalid in accordance with the official rules, that entry will be disqualified, and the subsequent selected entries will be verified in turn until an eligible winner is identified.
- Three (3) attempts will be made to contact the selected participant at the email address or by telephone using the phone number provided on their entry form, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (ET), over a period of five (5) days following the draw. If the selected participant cannot be reached within five (5) days by email or telephone, they will be deemed to have forfeited the prize and will be disqualified. Another participant may then be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries until contact is made with a selected participant or until there are no eligible entries left, whichever occurs first. The organization will not be held responsible for any unsuccessful attempts to contact a selected participant.
6. PRIZE CLAIMING:
- Prize claiming is subject to verification. To be declared the winner, the selected participant must correctly answer, without any assistance—mechanical or otherwise—the required skill‑testing question asked at the time of contest registration. The selected participant must also sign a declaration and release form (the “Release Form”) confirming compliance with the official rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the contest organizer, Meta Platforms, Inc., and each of their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, parents, subsidiaries, affiliated and related companies, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any liability relating to the prize or the contest.
- The winner must present themselves in person at the Galerie PVM information kiosk during opening hours. They will have thirty (30) days from the first contact attempt to claim their prize. After this period, or in the event of non‑appearance, they will be deemed to have forfeited the prize.
- The winner must also complete and sign a Prize Release Declaration Form and submit it to Place Ville Marie at the Galerie PVM information kiosk in order to receive their prize. Upon receipt of the duly completed and signed form, the kiosk agent will provide the prize to the winner.
- Refusal by any eligible winner to accept the prize (or any portion of it) fully releases the Releasees from all liability related to the prize, including delivery. If a potential winner is declared ineligible, refuses the prize, or refuses to sign the Prize Release Declaration Form, the prize will be forfeited, and another eligible participant may be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries, at the sole discretion of the organizer.
- Failure to comply with any of the above conditions or any requirement set out in these rules will result in the selected participant’s entry being disqualified. A new draw will then be conducted in accordance with the official rules to award the prize, and this process will continue until a participant is selected and declared the winner.
IMPORTANT: Employees of retailers in Galerie PVM and restaurants on the PVM Campus may not use a receipt from the business where they work.
