Terms of use
1. GENERAL
The Lucky Invoices contest (hereinafter, the "Contest") is being held by Nouveau Centre, by Ivanhoe Cambridge (hereinafter, jointly, the "Organizer") from September 9 at 10:00 a.m. to September 15, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. ET (hereinafter, the "Contest Period").
2. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
This Contest is open to the general public who are residents of Quebec and 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, agents and representatives, companies, advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of prizes, materials and services affiliated with this property and related to the Contest, as well as their legal or common-law spouses and all persons with whom such employees, representatives and agents are domiciled, are excluded from the Contest.
3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
There are two ways to participate in the Contest: by presenting a receipt for purchases made at participating stores, or without making any purchase.
With Purchase:
- Participants must bring their receipts to the customer service kiosk at Galerie PVM or Centre Eaton de Montréal during the Contest Period and correctly answer a skill-testing question. An agent will register the participant in the contest using a form.
- Receipts must be from stores located in the following properties: PVM, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, Centre Eaton de Montréal, and Place Montréal Trust (the “Properties”).
- Eligible receipts must be dated between September 9 and September 15, 2024, inclusive.
- One entry will be recorded for every $50 spent before tax will be recorded for the Contest.
- An additional entry will be granted for each additional $50 spent.
- Participants can combine up to three (3) receipts to reach the $50 before tax threshold.
- There is no daily maximum for entries.
- For each receipt submitted, the customer service agent will mark it to indicate it has been used for the Contest.
- The same receipts cannot be submitted more than once for the Contest.
Please note that purchases from the following services or retailers are not eligible for the Contest:
- Overnight stays at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth hotel
- Transportation tickets
- Parking
- Medications
- Nautilus Plus
- Canada Post
- FedEx
- Lottery tickets (Loto-Québec)
- Gift cards
- Prepaid cards
- Services covered by insurance (such as eye exams, dental treatments, etc.)
Without Purchase:
To enter the Contest without making a purchase, participants must visit the customer service kiosk at Galerie PVM or Centre Eaton de Montréal during the Contest Period and correctly answer a skill-testing question. Upon presentation of an ID, an agent will register the participant in the Contest using a form. Limit of one entry per participant. Additional entries will be disqualified.
4. PRIZE
Prize: One of three (3) $250 gift cards for the Sora 45 restaurant, or a gift card for the restaurants/shops at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Hotel (Rosélys, Bar Nacarat, Café Kréma, Marché Artisans), or a gift card for the Time Out Market Montreal.
Number of prizes: Three (3)
Total value of prizes: $750
5. PRIZES ATTRIBUTION
The draw will take place on September 18, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at 1001, Square-Victoria St., Montreal, Quebec (H2Z 2A8), among all eligible entries received. In order to be declared a winner, the person whose name is drawn must:
a) Be reached by phone or email by Ivanhoe Cambridge Inc. within five (5) days of the random selection;
b) Have correctly answered, without assistance and within a limited time, the mathematical skill-testing question posed by the agent during registration at the customer service kiosk.
c) Comply with all the conditions of the contest.
Failure to comply with any of the above conditions or with any condition set out in these rules will result in the disqualification of the contestant and a new draw will be held in accordance with these rules to award the prize until an entrant is selected and declared a winner.
The winner will also be required to complete and sign a Declaration of Prize form and return it to Ivanhoe Cambridge Inc. at the Galerie PVM customer service desk in order to receive the prize.
Upon receipt of the completed and signed Declaration of Winner form, Ivanhoe Cambridge Inc. will award the prize to the winner with a letter informing the winner of the terms and conditions of the prize.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
A. These rules will be available on the Nouveau Centre website during the Contest Period at lenouveaucentre.com.
B. Any person participating in this contest or attempting to participate in this contest in a manner that is contrary to these rules and regulations and unfair to the other participants may be automatically disqualified and referred to the appropriate legal authorities.
C. Prizes must be accepted as described in these rules and cannot be substituted for another prize or exchanged, in whole or in part, for cash except as provided in the paragraph below.
D. If, for reasons beyond the control of the Organizer and not related to the winners, the Organizer is unable to award a prize as described in these rules, in whole or in part, the Sponsor reserves the right to award a prize of equal kind and value or, at its sole discretion, the cash value of the prize.
E. The Organizer, the employees, agents and representatives of the companies, advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of prizes, materials and services affiliated with the above-mentioned property and related to this contest shall not be held liable in any way whatsoever if, in the event of force majeure or events beyond their control or justified necessity, they are forced to cancel, shorten, extend, postpone or modify the terms of this contest, and they shall not be held liable in any way. They reserve the right to extend the Contest Period in any case. In particular, Ivanhoé Cambridge disclaims all responsibility in the event of a malfunction of the draw process or if the information provided by participants is destroyed for a reason not attributable to them.
F. By accepting the prize, the winner releases the Organizer and its partners, and their officers, employees and agents, from all liability for any damages of any kind, penalties, fines or reasonable legal fees that the winner may incur in connection with the use of the prize.
G. By entering this contest, any winner authorizes the Organizer and its representatives to use, as appropriate, his/her name, photograph, likeness, prize statements and/or place of residence for publicity purposes, without compensation of any kind.
MODIFICATION
Ivanhoé Cambridge reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this contest, in whole or in part, in the event of any occurrence, error, or human intervention that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or conduct of the contest as provided in these rules.
AUTORISATION
By entering this contest, the winner authorizes Ivanhoé Cambridge Inc. to use, if required, his/her name, without any form of compensation, at its discretion and without limitation as to the period of use, on its website lenouveaucentre.com.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
By participating in the Contest or attempting to participate, each participant consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information (including but not limited to their name, first name, email address, date of birth, and postal code) for the purposes of organizing, administering, and completing the Contest as well as for promotional purposes, with the understanding that the Organizer will not transmit this information to third parties, except as necessary to achieve the aforementioned purposes.
Participants who agree to receive the Nouveau Centre – Ivanhoé Cambridge newsletter (the ‘Newsletter’) by email will receive a subscription confirmation email. The participant voluntarily consents to provide their first name, last name, email address, date of birth, and postal code to the Organizer.
By participating in the Contest or attempting to participate, each participant consents to the Organizer and persons designated by the Organizer using the winners’ names for advertising, promotion, and marketing in all media known or unknown to date worldwide without time limitation, without further compensation, notification, or permission, except where prohibited by law.
By participating in the Contest or attempting to participate, each participant consents to the Organizer communicating with the participant, including by email, for the purposes of organizing the Contest. No commercial or other communication unrelated to the Contest will be sent to participants unless a participant has otherwise permitted it.
The Organizer will destroy documents containing participants’ personal information within 30 days of the winners being designated, except for the data of participants who have agreed to receive the Newsletter by email, which is necessary for sending the Newsletter.
The Organizer undertakes to process personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and its Privacy Policy.
A participant’s consent to the Contest can be withdrawn at any time. However, without such consent, the Organizer may, in certain cases, limit the participant’s participation in the Contest, but only to the extent that the participant’s personal information is necessary for these purposes. A participant may also withdraw their consent to the use or sharing of their personal information for promotional purposes.
Each participant can withdraw their consent as follows:
- Contest. A participant may decide that they prefer the Organizer not to use their personal information for the purposes of organizing, administering, and completing the Contest as well as for promotional purposes. If this is the case, the participant can notify the Organizer by email at protectionRP@cdpq.com.
- Newsletter. A participant can withdraw their consent for the Newsletter at any time. To stop receiving it, the participant can simply click on the ‘Unsubscribe’ link located at the bottom of any transmitted Newsletter. Please note that even if the participant decides to no longer receive commercial and promotional communications, the Organizer may still contact the participant when required by law
UNENFORCEABLE PARAGRAPH
If a paragraph of these rules is declared or deemed illegal, unenforceable, or void by a competent court, then that paragraph will be considered null, but all other paragraphs that are not affected will be applied within the limits permitted by law.
JURISDICTION
This contest is subject to all applicable municipal, provincial, and federal laws and regulations.
